Hot/Not Hot Skills in Q2

Robert Half Technology recently released a survey, predicting IT’s performance in Q2, based on feedback from 1400 CIOs. The survey also revealed the most in-demand credentials.

16 per cent of the respondents say that the greatest challenge is finding skilled networking professionals; while 15 per cent believe finding qualified IT security professionals is most challenging. Help desk/technical support, applications development and data/database management come next — cited by 14 per cent, 13 per cent and 10 per cent of survey respondents respectively.

55 per cent of CIOs say that Network Administration qualification remains in greatest demand. Database management and desktop support came next, with 54 per cent and 51 per cent of the response, respectively.
