Information Age, along with Star, conducted a research on IT managers’ attitude towards cloud and whether companies were implementing cloud computing solutions within their infrastructure.
Out of the 219 IT managers from the UK surveyed, 70% have, or are planning to implement Virtualisation of internal infrastructure. 30% of the surveyed have adopted cloud-based backup and recovery, while 15% plan to do so in the coming year - more than any other technology listed.
Organisations expecting growth in the coming year are more likely to shift to cloud-based technologies, according to the report. Large organisations have almost unanimously adopted Virtualisation and SaaS, while small businesses are more likely to embrace the cloud-based emails.
